Chemical peel- is a skin-resurfacing procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the outer damaged layers of your skin. The skin that grows back after a chemical peel is smoother and younger looking. There are several types of chemicals peels varying in strength. Chemical peels can be done at different depths-light, medium or deep. A light chemical peel can be repeated as often as every two to five weeks. A medium chemical peel might be repeated after three to nine months to maintain results. A deep chemical peel can only be performed once. Your skin quality, medical history and skin specialist will determine the type of chemical peel for you.
